DESCRIPTION:Come join us tonight for casual and competitive chess. We have a group of 3-4 players confirmed to be showing up at 5:45pm!\nStarting tonight we will be having some of our younger players play in a separate section\, and we will need a parent to volunteer to help run pairings (David will teach you\, it’s pretty straightforward)!\nWhen: Mondays at 6:30pm; arrive by 6:15pm\nWhere: Portillo’s in Normal (202 Landmark Dr. Normal\, IL 61761)\nFormat: USCF-Rated (must have active US Chess membership). 4 Rounds G15+2.\nSections and formats may be changed at TD discretion.\nEntry Fee: $1; no prizes (players can arrive late or leave early if you can’t stay for all 4 rounds!)\nNo pre-registration required\, please show up by 6:15pm. Open to players of all levels! Adult-oriented. Players under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.\nNote: The restaurant may get noisy\, and we do not have any control over the noise level. Under this time control\, games will only affect your USCF Quick rating.\nBring clocks and sets if you have one; extra sets + clocks are available for those who do not.\nContact: TD David Sye\nWe are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for all players.
