Come join us tonight for casual and competitive chess. We have a group of 3-4 players confirmed to be showing up at 5:45pm!
Starting tonight we will be having some of our younger players play in a separate section, and we will need a parent to volunteer to help run pairings (David will teach you, it’s pretty straightforward)!
When: Mondays at 6:30pm; arrive by 6:15pm
Where: Portillo’s in Normal (202 Landmark Dr. Normal, IL 61761)
Format: USCF-Rated (must have active US Chess membership). 4 Rounds G15+2.
Sections and formats may be changed at TD discretion.
Entry Fee: $1; no prizes (players can arrive late or leave early if you can’t stay for all 4 rounds!)
No pre-registration required, please show up by 6:15pm. Open to players of all levels! Adult-oriented. Players under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Note: The restaurant may get noisy, and we do not have any control over the noise level. Under this time control, games will only affect your USCF Quick rating.
Bring clocks and sets if you have one; extra sets + clocks are available for those who do not.
